Gale Virtual Reference Library
A database of encyclopedias and specialized reference resources for multidisciplinary research, including: fashion, film and filmmakers, pop culture, and multicultural issues. Includes the six-volume Beacham’s Guide to the Endangered Species of North America.

Grove Art Online
Searchable online version of the 34-volume Grove Dictionary of Art covering the visual arts from prehistory to the 1990s. Also includes The Oxford Companion to Western Art, Encyclopedia of Aesthetics, and The Concise Oxford Dictionary of Art Terms.

  • Each e-Book platform has different rules for downloading, copying, and printing content.
  • Support for different e-readers and tablets varies.  Generally iOS and Android devices are well-supported.

  • Can be accessed by any web-enabled device by visiting
  • One users at a time access
  • User sessions will time out after 15 minutes of inactivity. A session timeout window will appear as a warning before you are logged out of the book. If your session does time out, the book is released to any users waiting to access it. If no one is waiting to read the title, simply close out of the database and log back in and relocate the title.
  • Browse and search eBooks using the Browse & Search Contents box
  • View other topics within an eBook using the Topics dropbox
  • Use the Tool dropbox to print, email, and save sections of eBooks.
  • Hyperlinked terms in individual eBooks that search all eBooks in the Library collection
  • Large collection of medical images searchable from the Quick Search box that can be expanded or saved
  • View related references, including links when available.
