Procedures

  • Printing is available on a first come, first served basis and is done by DiscoveryLab staff.
  • In order to print, community members are required to provide us with a file that is in .STL format using the 3D Print Tracker App.
  • Objects being printed must be smaller than 6" x 6" x 6".
  • Objects cannot exceed 4 hours in printing time.

Cost

  • While we are not charging at the moment the cost of materials is not insignificant. We may start charging in the near future.
  • Students will be given a quote at the time of submission of the cost of materials used.

Procedures

  • We ask for at least seven days for the print to be completed, to ensure quality.
  • Only one print request at a time will be accepted.
  • You will be notified by email when their print has been completed.
  • Prints can only be picked up the student who filled out the submission.
  • You have seven days to pick up their prints once they are notified.
