Blueberry, the Fish, Rescue Attempt, February 6, 1996, n. II

On the evening of Wednesday Feb. 6, 1996, many residents gathered in the fifth floor front wing bathroom. Together they struggled to save Blueberry, the mascot of St. Joseph’s Hall. He was a well cared for fish who, while his bowl was being cleaned slipped down the drain. Unfortunately, Blueberry passed away before rescue efforts were completed, for no one was able to unloosen the pipes. At 10:15pm all gathered and a memorial service was held for Blueberry (See Epilogue, 1996).
